-people are generally very polite and well behaved
-the area is so spread out, almost no tall buildings, so pretty beautiful and u can see the hills from anywhere in the valley
-awesome natural beauty all around, nice hiking trails, pacific etc. etc.
-abundance of fresh organic vegetables, fruits, farmer's markets, etc.. and very many nice restaurants

-they love their cars so much that there is no good public transport.
